Honest to goodness NYC pizza in the HoCo. Lots of pretenders but this throne goes to Anthony’s for actual thin crispy crust, with just the right chew, high quality cheese and sauce that doesn’t rely on salt but on flavor. This is the closest I’ve had outside the city. We also ordered a healthier Spinach Stuffed Eggplant that had delicious flavors, if a little underdone. Heated up later at home, it too was awesomely creamy without overwhelming the spinach and eggplant. The service was so friendly and courteous, we KNEW we weren’t in NYC
Ordered a large cheese on April 17th and was quite pleased by it. Not had a lot of good NY style pizza, but this certainly was/is it – would definitely order again when I’m in the area.
We had dinner with our kids here recently and really enjoyed it. When I think classic Italian and pizza restaurant, this is it. I would say some of the closest to true NY style pizza I have found in the area with a light but chewy crust and flavorful sauce. The wings were large and well seasoned and my salad was good as well. The white sangria was a bit sweet for my taste (but beautifully presented and still tasty), overall a great meal and family friendly atmosphere. Would be happy to dine here again!
Great food and service. They made room for a party of 11 with no problems at all. Their calamari is the best!!! All the dinners had ample portions as well!
